1976 was to be the last year of convertibles in America.

Legal safety regulations and emission and consumption restrictions

forced the automobile industry more and more to its knees.

This story is repeating itself here. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Fortunately, 14,000 Eldorado convertibles were built that year.

There could have been more. There were more orders in the books.

Production of the convertible top reached 14,000 units.

Many of these last factory convertibles were stored speculatively and for collectors

and put away.

Every now and then a low mileage car like this comes onto the market.

This very beautiful crystal blue firemist colored one is such a magnificent specimen.

Interior with white/blue fittings in new condition!

The car only has 2,800 miles on it!

All damage to the stand was repaired without regard to cost.

The car runs reliably even on long journeys.

It drives like a new Eldorado. We have had

have often enjoyed the pleasure of a low mileage Eldorado of these years and

know how that should feel.

The suspension and driving comfort of this last full size series is still

unsurpassed. Engine running of the 8.2 liter V8 engine and gear shifting of the 3-speed

Turbo-automatic transmission as well.
